What it does

All of my friends are terrible at selecting a place to eat. We'd do a rock paper scissor battle and the loser had to choose. This app takes that idea one step further and pits the choices against one another in a brawl match to decide who the dinner will be!

Users will search for a city. Select two contenders from a random list of results. These two contenders will duke it out. The winner is dinner.

How I built it

With the help of incredibly generous internet people.

Challenges I ran into

I am a terrible C# scripter and this required a lot of thought and energy. Way way way over my head to start with. But I feel pretty good about my developing skills now.

What I learned

Deadlines work. I discovered the Yelp Contest only a month before the it ended. That motivated me to get over my fear of learning C# and dive head first in.

What's next for Winner Is Dinner

I'd like to design characters for each category so that when a user selects their choices, the two fighters will reflect the category of the given choice.
