Inspiration

Since I began building games in 2013, I never imagined that generating scripts could become so seamless. Ask any game developer, and they’ll tell you that one of the toughest and most time-consuming challenges in game development is writing and debugging code. It’s a process that requires creativity, logic, and patience. With advancements like AI-driven code generation, this once-daunting task has become significantly easier, allowing developers to focus more on designing captivating experiences.

What it does

The game delivers an engaging and immersive platform-adventure experience designed specifically for web-based gameplay. With vibrant visuals, intuitive controls, and dynamic challenges, players are taken on an exciting journey through a world filled with obstacles, enemies, and secrets to uncover.

How i built it

The development process combined cutting-edge tools and traditional game design techniques:

-Amazon Q: Used to generate optimized C# scripts, streamlining the coding process and reducing development time.
-Amazon S3: Employed to host the WebGL build, ensuring smooth deployment and accessibility for players.
-Unity Game Engine: The core platform where all elements, from assets to gameplay mechanics, were brought to life.

Challenges i ran into

Game development is rarely straightforward, and creating a web-based game comes with its own set of limitations. Web games often face constraints in terms of performance and scalability, which can hinder ambitious ideas. However, leveraging the capabilities of Amazon Q Developer allowed me to overcome these hurdles and bring my vision to life without compromising on quality or gameplay experience.

Accomplishments that i proud of

I’m incredibly proud of completing this project using Amazon Q Developer, marking my first successful experience with an AI-driven code assistant in my game development journey. Not only did this streamline the process, but it also empowered me to focus more on creative aspects, making the development process enjoyable and productive.
