INSPIRATION

Much less variety of trees planted and the outstanding felling of them have become a threat leading to occurrences of flood, erosion, climate change, ozone layer depletion, and lots extra. And this can only majorly be solved by the existence of trees on our planet.

WHAT WILLOW IS MEANT TO DO

Willow is meant to allow users improve the ecosystem by planting trees and at same time, earn decentralized tokens and mint NFTs based on the trees planted. Willow is built based on three things as its target; people, plants, and the planet.

HOW WE ENVISION BUILDING WILLOW ON THE EOS BLOCKCHAIN

For the user interaction of the application, the frontend will be built with JavaScript framework, React JS, and Chakra UI for the styles while heavily focusing on eosjs for its full interactivity and functionality. With its smart contract written in c++, which is eos’ smart contract’s language, which will allow users connect their wallet to make purchases on the marketplace of willow, and to also send and receive tokens.

HOW WILLOW WOULD WORK

FOR USERS

Users will register with their email and password, and also select their region.
Users will be able to see weather conditions in their locations. So, when a user signs up to plant, they get assigned to an expert who educates them on what plants fits the area and weather condition at that time.
After a user has moved to the planting phase, they plant and make a video to upload on willow which will then be put into a pending phase for verification.
After the video has been approved and the plant has been verified, the user earns tokens on the eos antelope blockchain.
Users can use their tokens to buy stuff in the marketplace from vendors who accept the token as a means of exchange.
Users will earn monthly or quarterly on the status of their plants.
Users get to mint the trees planted as an NFT on the blockchain.

FOR EXPERTS

Experts will have a dashboard of pending verifications from users who want to plant in the same region. This expert will educate a user on what to do and then the expert earns tokens as well.
They also get to see the list of pending video uploads in their region to get verified and then carefully verify them if they meet the requirement.
These experts will be partners in this field of web3.
