William's Space Odyssey

Inspiration

I've come to have a lot of interest in Space and all things galactic. I wanted to push the limits, and in the process I inspired a fix in a three.js library.

What it does

It takes the guest on a coding journey in space, to awe and to wonder.

How we built it

It was built with next.js and three.js. It was a lot of fun.

Challenges we ran into

There were some built build issues with three.js, but a patch was made and the library contributors also created a permanent fix as a result.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Having made an open source contribution come about while creating my small and humble portfolio.

What we learned

A Portfolio can be fun and rewarding to build.

What's next for William's Space Odyssey

It is live at williammabotja.xyz

Maybe I'll create a function to handle the emails, or add a space inspired AI Chatbot.
