Inspiration

The first step to any change is creating awareness, bringing in the thought of needing a change. And if this awareness is created in the minds of youth then that is a great success. The motivation behind this project is to create awareness amongst the youth about the vulnerability of wildlife, Some are endangered , sime extinct, many because of human activities. So this website tries to change the minds of youth and bring this issue to their notice

What it does

This is a social media website, dedicated to the wild animals, birds and sea creatures. It considers every user to be an animal, Allows the user to create an about section thinking himself to be that animal, share the animals vulnerability story , share images about the animal and many more.

Once the animal account is created , The user can make posts on latest news about the animal , , share the illegal activities happening around against your animal or just some fun facts about your animal.

It also allows the user to read the posts about other animals made by other users. And read about them. And If you like it, You can subscribe to that animal which allows you to recieve latest updates on your mobile phones when the user of that animal posts something new

This was built using Node JS , twilio , javascript , html

What we learned

We learned advance use of NODE JS and mongo DB learnt about the use of multer to upload images through node JS. And we learnt to use twilio to send SMS from node JS which is the biggest thing we learnt this weekend

What's next for WildPrism

Next in sleeves for WildPrism is advance features that a social media website has. Making groups amongst different animals and collaborating with different NGOs for more impact A status section whoch could last for 24 hours
