Indonesia is a country rich in biodiversity. It is estimated that as many as 300,000 types of wild animals or around 17% of the world's animals are found in Indonesia. Loji is the natural habitat of the Javan hawk-eagle which is a key protected species. The existence of this animal has tourism potential for wildlife lovers.
During our PLKA at the Gunung Salak 1 Resort, many visitors came to Loji to enjoy the ecotourism, especially the animals and wildlife attractions. Many tourists asked about the types of animals you can see at Loji. However, the absence of a tour guide, interpretation board, or information center leads to tourists' lack of knowledge about wildlife potential.
Therefore, we created WildNavi (Wildlife Navigation) to be a self-guided apps that provides information on wild animal encounter points that can be used as potential tourist attractions. This application will help tourists to recognize the wildlife of Loji, Resort Mount Salak 1, Bogor.
WildNavi presents the profile of animals, such as images of the animals, animal distribution points, brief profiles, feeding types, and tips on how to meet these animals. With this application, it is hoped that it can increase tourist awareness to preserving wildlife through ecotourism, especially wildlife tourism.
