Wildlife conservation projects often suffer from inefficiencies, lack of transparency, and donor disengagement. Many conservation funds are allocated without clear public oversight, leaving donors disconnected from the impact of their contributions.
We wanted to leverage blockchain technology to build a transparent, community-driven DAO where donors have real governance power in deciding which projects receive funding.

WildlifeDAO is a blockchain-powered funding platform that enables donors to:

Donate funds in "imaginary" USD and receive WLD governance tokens.

- Large token holders could dominate voting even with quadratic voting.
- Solution: Introduced voting caps per user & Sybil resistance measures (e.g., requiring WLD staking).
3๏ธโฃ Ensuring Transparent Fund Allocation
- Needed a secure treasury system to prevent misallocation of funds.
- Solution: Multi-signature fund disbursement contract to require community approval for project funding.
