Inspiration
I have a kid that is 4-5 years old. They really like to see animals in the zoo because they are rarely seen in daily life. So, I think why not create a web that we can see some animal in their real habitat interactively?
What it does
To help teacher / parent introduce wild animal to their kids interactively.
How we built it
We built this web using some stack:
- marzipano (360 library)
- fastify (javascript web framework)
- R2 (Cloudflare Object Storage)
Challenges we ran into
This project is very dependent on the image asset. We spend our time mostly to searching for 360-degree image that has animals on it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We can deliver this MVP website in less than 12 hours and our kids love the web when we show them.
What's next for Wildlife Learning for Kids
There are so many things to improve here:
- Add more 360-degree image to scale the web
- Add search bar on the 360 world pages
- Improving the design and UX
Built With
- marzipano
- node.js
- r2
