Inspiration
Wildlife and biodiversity are under constant threat due to habitat loss, human interference, and lack of public awareness. Many people do not fully understand the challenges faced by wild animals or how their actions impact the environment. This inspired me to explore how AI-generated visual storytelling can be used to raise awareness in an engaging and accessible way.
What it does
WildGuard AI is an AI-powered system that generates short wildlife awareness videos. Using generative AI, the project transforms text prompts and stories into visual content that highlights wildlife protection, animal safety, and environmental sustainability. These videos can be used for education, social media campaigns, and awareness programs.
How I built it
The project was built using multiple generative AI tools. ChatGPT (GPT) was used to generate the story, descriptions, and documentation related to wildlife and environmental impact. Veo 3 was used to generate AI-based images and videos from text prompts. Basic video editing and color grading were applied using color picker tools to ensure visual consistency and clarity.
Challenges I ran into
One of the main challenges was maintaining visual consistency across AI-generated scenes. Another challenge was aligning the storytelling with sustainability and environmental impact goals while keeping the video short and engaging.
What I learned
Through this project, I learned how generative AI tools can be combined to create meaningful educational content. I also gained experience in prompt design, AI-based video generation, and improving visual quality through post-processing.
What's next for WildGuard AI
Future improvements include generating multi-language videos, adding subtitles, expanding to more wildlife and conservation topics, and collaborating with environmental organizations for real-world impact.
