Wildfires are common natural disaster but causes huge losses. With a little machine learning and analyzing data, it is possible to predict wildfires and take steps for prevention
What it does
The machine learning module predicts the possible wildfire zones and displays it on the web console using google maps. Future scope: Integrate the IBM Watson chat bot created to call nearest team volunteer for disaster management with the android app created. Integrate the wild-fire prediction machine learning module with android application to show real-time wildfire prediction on android.
How we built it
The project is built using IBM Cloud and IBM Watson with android for prediction of possible wildfire zone and call for help if anyone is stuck in the natural disaster.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating IBM Watson with android application and integration of machine learning module. Bug discovered: IBM Cloud would not let us choose a training model without having IBM Watson studio added to project.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting the machine learning wildfire prediction working and creating a chat bot for interacting with user stuck in disaster situations.
