Inspiration
We wanted to create something that raises awareness about endangered species in an interactive and educational way.
What it does
It's an educational app that lets users search for endangered animals and learn about their habitats, conservation status, threats, and more.
How we built it
We built the app using MIT App Inventor for a user-friendly, block-based design.
Challenges we ran into
We initially wanted to use Python to code, but ran into some issues on integrating AI and data sources. Instead we used MIT App Inventor because it was easier to collect data and input it into the app as well as integrating AI into our app.

We successfully designed and built an app despite having only basic coding experience.
What's next for Wild Finder
We want to integrate an AI-powered detection feature for users to take a picture and identify species.
