Inspiration

We all have been to Wildlife Sanctuaries and National Parks to get a glimpse of the diverse Fauna that resides in them. Yet many times we fail to explore the Fauna we had been excited about before entering the Sanctuary or Park. This problem needs to be addressed in order to preserve the authenticity of these habitats and ensure escalation in footfall over time.

What it does

Our sole aim is to address the above-stated problem in an intelligent way using technology. We have designed a user-friendly web application allowing the visitors to these habitats to explore the fauna of their choice. On the website, one needs to select the animal they need to catch a glimpse of and the application will provide the location to the animal.

How we built it

We developed a Full Stack Web Application using MEVN Stack and Google Maps API

Challenges we ran into

  • Integrating Google Maps API with the Frontend
  • Performing dynamic updates to Animal location

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to successfully address the problem by developing a Full Stack Web Application using MEVN Stack.

What we learned

Got to know about the Best Practices on how to use GitHub. Enhanced knowledge of MEVN Stack.

What's next for Into the Wild

We believe that this Project possesses tremendous potential and can be taken forward to achieve better results. We know that as Animals will move, their locations will be updated which will be sent to the Main Server. In order to realize it on a big scale, the load on the server needs to be reduced in order to prevent breakdown. To tackle this we call for use of Fog Computing to introduce hierarchy while transmitting updates to the Main Server.
