Inspiration
We wanted to allow people to more easily visualize the between important people in history, for example seeing that Beethoven was born x years before Mozart, etc. Wikipedia has a large amount of data on people, so we decided to use that as our data source

Creates an overlapping timeline of people's births and deaths.

Challenges we ran into
Wikipedia's API is very complicated, although its documentation is comprehensive. Furthermore we had some trouble deciding on the programming language for the website.
