Inspiration

We noticed that people like watching reels and short videos more than reading long articles. But learning information is still boring for many people. So we thought, why not show knowledge in a reel-like format? That idea became WIKIREELS.

What it does

Wikireels shows information in short reels. Users can scroll up and down and learn small facts quickly. Each reel explains one topic in a simple way, so learning feels easy and fun.

How we built it

We built Wikireels as a web app. We used React to make the user interface. We created a reel-style scrolling layout. We kept the content short and easy to read. We added small animations to make it feel smooth.

Challenges we ran into

It was hard to make the content short but still useful. Making the scrolling feel smooth was also challenging. Handling many reels without slowing the app took time. We also had to keep the design simple and clean.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a working reel-style learning app. The app feels smooth and easy to use. The idea is simple but different from normal learning apps. We finished the project in limited time.

What we learned

We learned how important user experience is. We learned how to manage scrolling and performance. We learned how to explain information in simple words. We also improved our teamwork skills.

What's next for Wikireels

We want to add user login and bookmarks. Users should be able to save and share reels. We want to add more topics and better content. In the future, we may use AI to summarize topics.
