Doom, Vampire Survivors, Simple arcade game style.
Provides a fast paced, somewhat open world, FPS where you are a wizard and you have 2 magical staffs that are used to defend yourself against waves of slime.
We used GDscript in the game engine Godot. Also using blender to model all of the assets in the game as well as texturing and creating hitboxes.
Couldn't decide what to make the game on at the start of the project. We ended up spinning a wheel to decide and that didn't work either so we had a slow start. Other than that we ran into problems coding and modelling especially because we are not too familiar with the game engine we chose.
Having a full game loop and creating everything in the game ourselves. Overcoming the coding challenges. and we pursued a unique artistic style.
Lots of the syntax involved in GDscript. and importing and exporting from blender to Godot.
We are interested in continuing the creation of our game to see if it can develop into something even better with more time and thought.
