We're creating a platform for uniting the community of disjointed hotspots into a secure mesh network that utilizes blockchain-based Proof-of-Coverage for rewarding Hotspot Providers and Users.
Inspiration - I was caught needing internet service and noticed that there were tons of hotspots, but none I could use.
What it does - Our platform allows anyone to create a secure hotspot that is free to users and provides an effective marketing tool to the hotspot provider.
How we built it - Using FreeRadius, AWS Lambda functions, an iOS and Android app built in Flutter, OpenWISP, OpenWRT.
Challenges we ran into - Mostly technology hurtles to creating an MVP.
