Inspired by the convenience of wireless phone charging, we’ve created an innovative solution for the future of mobility.
What it does
Our startup is revolutionizing the way electric vehicles charge by creating cutting-edge, wireless charging stations using magnetic induction technology. Our service operates B2C model. We provide individual users with access to our charging network, offering a seamless and convenient experience for EV owners. We offer a dual access system for parking spaces with magnetic induction charging. Subscribers that pay a monthly fee will benefit by paying close to the cost of electricity for their charging, while non-subscribers who purchase the identification device pay a higher rate per charge. Each car will have a small identification device that links the car to the driver's account for seamless payment, also detects the vehicle model, optimizing the charging process to maximize efficiency.
How we built it
To bring our vision to life, we focused on two main pillars: software development and hardware innovation. On the software side, we built a user-friendly app that serves as the central hub for all EV charging needs. The app allows users to register their car, access a real-time map of available charging spots, monitor their vehicle’s battery percentage, and enjoy a simplified payment process. On the hardware side, we designed and developed the magnetic induction charging system, integrating it seamlessly into parking spaces. This involved creating durable induction pads, advanced identification devices for cars, and a backend system to manage energy transfer and billing efficiently.
Challenges we ran into
Building this innovative solution came with its fair share of challenges. On the technical side, developing a reliable and efficient magnetic induction system that works across different car models required. Additionally, regulatory and safety standards for wireless charging technology required careful navigation to ensure compliance and user safety.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
By promoting wireless charging, we’re contributing to a cleaner, greener future, reducing the reliance on cables and making EV adoption more convenient. Another accomplishment we’re proud of is enabling a future where autonomous vehicles can charge without human intervention. By eliminating the need for drivers to plug in their cars, our wireless charging system paves the way for fully autonomous mobility, making self-driving cars more viable.
Results expected
In the initial phase, we anticipate that adoption will not be immediate, given the ongoing transition from combustion engine vehicles to electric vehicles. However, over time, we aim to establish our wireless charging technology as the primary method of charging worldwide. Strategic partnerships will play a crucial role in this growth, as they will not only increase our visibility but also create mutually beneficial opportunities for all parties involved. Additionally, we envision this wireless charging solution as a key step toward enabling fully autonomous driving, where vehicles can recharge without any human intervention, making self-driving cars possible and fully independent.
What's next for Wi-Park
The next phase for us is the execution of the project. This involves deploying our magnetic induction charging systems in real-world environments, scaling our partnerships with businesses, and expanding our network of charging stations.
