Education nowadays is very standardised, with the usual classroom setting being 1 teacher to many students. We aim to overcome that by personalising education by creating an AI catering to their needs

Inspiration

The education system in Singapore. Despite its efficiency, it has its flaws.

What it does

It is an AI that can assess the student's current academic performance and caters to their inadequacies by posing more practice questions related to their weak topics and posing more difficult questions in the topics they are strong in.

How we built it

We built it using Google Colab.

Challenges we ran into

Our team completely consists of beginners, with the majority of the team being 17 year old and from Polytechnic Year 1. Some of us do not even have any prior programming knowledge or skills. Hence, it was difficult to code or implement any form of AI or program that was too advanced for us. Even coming up with this simple program proved to be extremely challenging for our group.

What we learned

We learned more about Deep Learning, Computer Vision, how to work with TensorFlow more, how to create a simple AI.

What's next for whoosh_goren

We are proud to have come this far. We do not expect our project to be amazing or to win any prizes, however, we believe we have learnt a lot from this hackathon and are content with our performance.
