We love this world, therefore we want to use our superpowers of blockchain development to help us all thrive.

There is not a single segment of the population that does not suffer from mental health adversities. Yet the answer is not rocket science, we have figured it out eons ago.

👨‍🔬️ We need long term relationships with others, to care for one another, to uplift each other. But there is no institution that facilitates this need. In previous agrarian and industrial ages it was the living religious, governmental, and social institutions, yet in our knowledge age, they are antiquated and dead. Blockchain allows us to create social institutions with a few lines of code.

🛰️ Here is one creative attempt in this direction.

Think of it as a kind of mental-health-to-earn app. It takes inspiration from t-groups, peer-to-peer support and tech company stand-ups.

What it does

The secret to good mental health is simple.

Consistent, long term, and structured interactions with a supportive group of peers.

UpliftDAO:

  1. Mint a member NFT
  2. Join or create a cohort of 2-7 people
  3. Set bi weekly video meetings where each member answers 3 basic questions, inspired from tech company stand ups: what you did? what you plan to do? do you have any obstacles?
  4. Each member has to attest their presence at the session. As a group act they forma joint statement of a reflection that is stored on chain.
  5. For every session in which all members attend, each is rewarded with 10 UpliftTokens.
  6. You are able to leave and join another cohort to find one that fits, but no sooner than 90 days after joining.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

Trying to learn how to build a 2D interactive UI with Phaser 3. It sunk a lot of time, I ended up abandoning the effort and focused on interacting with smart contracts via web UI instead.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Writing the smart contracts that compile and work. Building the interface and connecting it with the smart contracts.
