Inspiration
We took inspiration from the Statefarm Good neighbor track, as well as apps we have used in past such as GroupMe and YikYak
What it does
Our project is web app for college students that allows users to create help requests as well as allowing other students to sign up to help others. They can also create a profile that will hold their requests as well as the requests they have helped with
How we built it
We implemented front end using react, nodejs, and Tailwind, as well as a back end using supabase.
Challenges we ran into
We faced a few issues while implementing our project namely implementing the API google calendar as well as managing our database as we are not use to sql.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud that we were able to make a relatively large-scaled project in just the weekend allotted. We are also very proud to have managed our time properly and using GitHub effectively.
What we learned
We learned how to use AI to streamline development as well as to collaborate on GitHub. Furthermore we learned to manage databases.
What's next for Who's There?
We plan to implement new rating systems users who fulfill requests, as well as updating the active user interface and maintaining support for active users.
