We created League of Matchmaking, a minimalist web app to help you find players who you won with the most.

Our application allows users to search up their in-game username and find out players they recently played the most with. It also shows their win rate on your team and their win rate on the enemy team.

We were inspired to create this project because we kept seeing familiar player names but we didn't know if we actually played with them before.

We paired a React frontend with a Python and Flask backend and used the official Riot Games API for matchmaking data.

Being our first hackathon, we wanted to be ambitious and have a memorable experience so we decided to learn React, Flask and REST APIs from scratch and use them in our project.

We definitely faced a ton of challenges, from knowing where to even start to how to put everything together. We also had many hiccups along the way where we couldn't get code to compile or work the way we want.

We could not have done this without the help of the mentors who have really guided us along the way and so we would like to thank Dan (dougouk#1914) and Jsues (Jsues#7834) for being amazing mentors.
