Inspiration

We were inspired by the thought of utilizing data science algorithms to generate art and music. We were inexperienced with data science algorithms, but was interested and wanted to explore and learn the concept and the algorithms.

What it does

Our site utilizes the Gaussian distribution algorithm to generate specific geometric shapes, such as circles, squares, and triangles, and compose artistic and creative art pieces.

How we built it

This project is made using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

Challenges we ran into

We had trouble with finding a compatible algorithm for creating our music generator. We were also not sure what to use for our sample notes.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created a website that generates original art by utilzing the data science algorithm of Gaussian distribution. We implemented the wide selection of several geometric shapes, such as circles, squares, and triangles.

What we learned

We learned more on how to organize our time better as we were given limited time for the hackathon. We learned to brainstorm collectively in the beginning as the hackathon was very open-ended with a few inspirations and had to decide what we wanted to do as a team. We also learned to implement the Gaussian distribution algorithm.

What's next for Who ASCII'd CTP Project: HarmoniArt

We would like to further explore different data science algorithms and implement an algorithm designed to generate music utilizing a dataset of music notes.
