Through the use of ANI (Automatic Number Identification) and an address book accessible to the Called party's telecomm carrier, the end user may configure how to direct the Calling party's line.
- If the Calling ANI is marked as Private or is not provided - the Called Party may configure the call to not ring and not redirect the call.
- If the Calling ANI is marked as Private - the Called Party may configure the call to not ring and redirect the call to Voice Mail.
- If the Calling ANI is available to the Called Party but the ANI is not listed within the Called Party's address book, the Called Party may configure the call to be redirected to Voice Mail.
- If the Calling ANI is available to the Called Party and the ANI is listed within the Called Party's address book, the Called Party may configure (on a per Address Book entry bases) how the Calling Party is rung or if redirected (to Voice Mail or to void)
