Inspiration
We decided to make music with Harman Omni10
How it works
We borrowed from the Harman crew an iPhone running the HKWHub App, whose API you can find at this link: http://harmandeveloperdocs.readthedocs.org/en/latest/iOS/hkwhub-spec.html
We wrote a script in python, triggered by Pure Data, sending web requests to HKWHub App. The App sends commands to the speakers, while we can set which speakers we want to play, at which volume, from our script. We took white noise and composed a sequence of different volume levels for the loudspeakers we were using in order to create a spatialised composition.
Challenges we ran into
We needed an iPhone with iOS 8.4 and an Apple Developer license. It would have been nice to work within the HKWHub App, but this has not been possible.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
What I learned
What's next for white waves
Try to connect more speakers and perform changing the script in real time ,but we still need to find the device where to build the app.
