Inspiration

The inspiration behind Whispers of Truth came from a fascination with stories where the boundaries of reality blur, and the quest for truth becomes a timeless journey. My passion for speculative fiction, indigenous myth, and cinematic storytelling drove me to create a project that explores alien contact, the symbolism of the time traveler, and humanity’s hidden histories

What it does

The project uses AI filmmaking tools to tell a short cinematic story: an alien crash reveals a time travel machine to a rainforest tribe, entrusting a lone protagonist to guard a single location through flickering ages and realities. The narrative unfolds visually, blending historical eras and metaphysical states as the guardian uncovers ancient truths

How we built it

Script division and archetype design were done with Grok. • Visual assets were created using Flux Kontext and Runway Aleph, with highly detailed cinematic prompts specifying lighting, dress, and technical camera settings. • Image-to-video sequences maintained character, mood, and location consistency. • Editing was completed in DaVinci Resolve, layering transitions, effects, and color grading. • Sound and music added atmosphere, sourced from Epidemic Sound and Artlist for professional depth

Challenges we ran into

Character consistency: Ensuring the protagonist’s look, attire (beanie, jeans), and dog breed matched across shot-by-shot AI generations required precise prompt engineering within 1000 character limits. • Lighting and mood: Achieving stable cinematic lighting (e.g., backlight, rim hair lights, 3000K bulb flicker) tested both prompt construction and model constraints. • Era transitions: Seamlessly morphing the single location across different periods, while maintaining emotional and visual continuity, demanded careful sequencing and visual direction. • Technical AI limits: Handling brief model output windows, iteration speed, and file management was a constant workflow challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Developed a workflow achieving shot-by-shot AI video continuity with technical consistency in camera and lighting. • Crafted a compelling philosophical narrative through visual storytelling, merging speculative sci-fi and indigenous motifs. • Mastered the integration of AI-generated content with professional editing for a cohesive, cinematic short film. • The project was successfully submitted to the Gen:48 Aleph Edition, showing the power of modern AI filmmaking.
