Inspiration

My personal experience with an STI in university made me realize how shame, silence, and lack of access keep young people from getting the help they need. I wanted to build something that would have made it easier for me back then, a private, judgment-free space to get answers and care.

What it does

Whisper Health is a digital SRH (sexual and reproductive health) platform for youth aged 15–35. It offers an anonymous symptom checker, telehealth booking with SRH professionals, discreet e-pharmacy, gamified learning, inclusive avatars, community panels, and real-time chat & voice support, all designed to break stigma and improve access.

How we built it

We started with no-code tools on Bolt.new to prototype the platform. The UI was inspired by our Figma design and Flo but made more inclusive and youth-centered.

We prioritized mobile-first design, strong privacy features, and modular flows for booking, chat, pharmacy, and games to keep users engaged.

Challenges we ran into

Balancing simplicity with the sensitive nature of SRH topics

Designing for anonymity and privacy without making the user feel isolated

Ensuring accessibility for users with disabilities

Scouting developers who understood the mission

What's next for Whisper Health

We’re preparing to launch beta testing, finalize backend integrations, and partner with SRH professionals across Africa. Our goal is to make Whisper Health the go-to SRH platform for youth, accessible, inclusive, and stigma-free.
