Inspiration We wanted to capture the wild, rebellious energy at the heart of Cody M. Brooks’ music—outlaw country meets Americana grit. The video draws inspiration from bootlegging folklore, muscle cars, and the spirit of freedom that defines Cody’s storytelling.

What it does The video creates a cinematic outlaw journey, blending music and narrative into a high-octane ride. It gives fans a visual experience that deepens the connection to Cody’s song, immersing them in the raw edge of his world.

How we built it Using a mix of AI-assisted filmmaking tools, real cinematic editing techniques, and carefully crafted visual storytelling, we brought a fictional bootlegging run to life. Every detail—the matte black muscle car, the backroads, the tension—was designed to feel authentic.

Challenges we ran into This music video was created before AI tools like Nano Banana, making continuity in the look of the characters and in props much more difficult than now.

Finding the right balance between AI-enhanced visuals and a natural, cinematic look was one of the biggest hurdles. We also faced the challenge of pacing the story to match the song’s rhythm while keeping engagement high throughout the video.

Accomplishments that we're proud of The video surpassed 13,000 YouTube views within its first few weeks, with an exceptionally strong click-through rate and engagement. It has also been picked up by major playlists and broadcast platforms, exposing Cody’s music to new, larger audiences worldwide. It is also on rotation on The AI Music Video Show and on Alchemy Stream racking up MILLIONS of views to date. The reception is clear: this is a hot song and video!

What we learned We discovered that a compelling story, even for a fictional AI-driven artist, can create real emotional engagement and strong audience retention. Storytelling remains the bridge that carries technology into art.
