Inspiration
Our inspiration stemmed from the lack of support provided to women who have ADHD. We started becoming interested in dopamine regulation for the long term, and we noticed there is a complete lack of education and awareness on how to live a more balanced life.
What it does
With the Mad Hatter's Mood Checker, the user can track their moods, which can make help make long-term conclusions. In turn, the calendar can store those check-ins. The calendar displays the check-ins as a color, with moods ranging from red to green. At the heart of our idea, is the Jabberwocky Generator. For long-term benefits, it is important to almost "trick" or surprise your brain. Randomizing whether you do a dopamine-charged activity each day or not, will help achieve a healthy level of dopamine in the long term.
How we built it
We built it using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Challenges we ran into
This is our first hackathon, and we learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript about a week ago, so we struggled with debugging and overall just implementation of the project
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of what we were able to accomplish with what little we knew going into Technica. We have so much more knowledge about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript -- and we are super proud of our growth.
What we learned
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, GitHub, Git
What's next for Whimsy
We plan on revising the website and making it into a mobile app that could be used on Andriod and Apple frameworks.
WE ARE OFFICIALLY CREDITING: ChatGPT/AI Usage
