Inspiration

I thought that QNX would take longer to set up, so I had more time than expected. I wanted to make something that could connect to the network, so I decided the simplest thing to implement would be the weather in your terminal. This way I could test QNX without an unending scope of potential problems.

What it does

Gets historical weather data from weather stations in Ontario. Scans the official government website stations and gets real time data from the station selected.

How we built it

Fetch data from the official government website using SSL.

Challenges we ran into

I have not written in C in a long time. Getting Wifi hotspot to work and debugging the network without a display

Accomplishments that we're proud of

QNX is running and it's powered up with a power bank. Learned a lot more about QNX and computer networking

What we learned

Setting up QNX and that Tailscale VPN on demand does not mix well with cellular hotspot
