WhereToParc was inspired by a common frustration on campus: spending more time searching for a parking spot than actually getting to class. We wanted to create something simple, fast, and helpful for every OSU student, visitor, and staff member.
We focused on making the experience intuitive: open the app, see where to park, and get moving. Along the way, we learned how to integrate map data, design user-friendly layouts, and create animations to make the experience fun and engaging.
One of the biggest challenges we faced was gathering consistent parking information and deciding how to present it in a way that’s both accurate and easy to understand. We also worked through UI/UX decisions, routing behavior, and timing animations smoothly.
Overall, WhereToParc taught us a lot about building something practical that solves a real student problem.
