Planning fenestrated aortic stent grafts requires knowing the exact position, direction, and size of every artery leaving the aorta — information that varies between patients and is currently assessed manually.

WY Scan automates this. Given a CT volume and an aorta mask, it detects every daughter artery, returning each as a machine-readable instance with millimetre-accurate ostium position, direction, and radius. The pipeline uses classical image processing only — adaptive thresholding calibrated to each patient's own contrast levels, hysteresis candidate masking, automatic end-cap suppression, and contact-patch instancing with geodesic separation to handle nearby or merged branches. It runs all 25 evaluation cases with zero crashes, averages under 15 seconds per case on a laptop, and presents results through an unrolled aortic map matching the coordinate system surgeons already use.
