Inspiration

Like many people I am frustrated by the difficulty to find games from my favorite team when I am on the go. Endless browsing on the internet

What it does

It allows users to get information about TV shows and movies from Broadcast Networks and OTT services. It simplifies the search by using text, quick replies and voice to obtain quick results

How I built it

Using Facebook page linked to a Messenger FB app which interact with wit.ai and request information from a external source (TV guide)

Challenges I ran into

The principle is based on function calling to allow Gemini to autonomously select the right API call to do to respond accurately to the request. Describe the API endopoints via openAPI was not easy

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

The function calling processes and the integration with React via the AI studio code generation

What I learned

using AI studio to write code for the front end and then integration with my Python code for the back end

What's next for Whatz On, Doc?

Focus on using the back end efficiently from different sections of the the front end and build a MCP service to provide this service for partners
