I was inspired to redesign WhatsApp as its been an app I used more than iMessage for the last two years living abroad. The problem was I always preferred iMessage's usability and interface. WhatsApp's design is outdated and all over the place. I wanted to create a cohesive look that has designated spaces for all the most prominent and used features. The stories on the main screens of call and text gives the users the ability to stay up to date with their contacts, similar to Instagram's set up with them at the top in a carousel. The design utilizes the WhatsApp color palette and provides more variety to the eye through out the app. While, I could continue to build screen on this project you'll find 11 screens. I incorporated many scroll animations where there are lists and stories. There are certain features highlighted with their own screen built out like, favorites for calls and pinned messaged. There is a contacts screen and three different call screens with incoming, ringing, and during call.
