Inspiration
Our teammate looked into his fridge and saw a bunch of ingredients but did not know what to cook with it
What it does
You take a photo of your fridge and it will tell you what you have in your fridge, and you're allowed to add or remove ingredients / list any allergies and get a couple of recipes just for you!
How we built it
We used React , tailwindcss, regular css for the front end, python3, flask for the back end
Challenges we ran into
Coming up with a prompt to send for Gemini as it had to be extremely detailed and return us an exact format for us to use it properly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It's a fully functional project built from start to finish
What we learned
Learned how to use flask, CORS for transferring POST data, Lot's of css.
What's next for What The Fridge
Possibly a database to store favorite recipes.
