What She Tied

What She Tied delves back into the world of Whispers from the Weald, continuing the journey of Chaise Aderyn. When he first takes the cursed guitar, Griefstrung, into his hands, he is struck by a vision of a girl living in sorrow’s shadow. Alone beyond the willow line, she clings to her grief until it threatens to consume her.

Chaise feels compelled to reach her before fate seals her end. Yet a darker question lingers: is the vision a true cry for help, or is Griefstrung weaving its own design; feeding on her sorrow to bind itself deeper to Chaise?

The creation process for this piece was particularly challenging. I struggled with maintaining character consistency, especially for the young woman at the heart of the story. OpenArtAi was excellent for the studio shots, but I really needed the Midjourney "look" for the cinematic scenes. This forced me to rethink my workflow; while I began with MidJourney (and its Cref function), I found it lacking. I turned instead to ClipStudioArt, where I could refine character features with more control. Combined with KlingAi for animation and Suno for the song itself, the project ultimately pushed me to refine my entire pipeline. This helped immensely with guitar consistency, which is important due to the guitar playing a pivotal role in the narrative.

The result is a work that blurs music and vision, a haunting lament that questions whether grief can ever be untied, or if it simply binds us tighter.
