What's Your Legacy?

Inspiration

We were inspired by horoscopes and personality quizzes along with real world correlations to create a website that predicts about the user's legacy based on information about them.

What it does

It asks questions, takes the answers and stores them in a database. These are then extracted from this and analysed before being put through Gemini to create a prediction about your legacy.

How we built it

We made an HTML website, styled using CSS. We used forms to take the inputs from the user and stored these answers in google sheets. These answers are then put back in JavaScript where the data is mapped to different characteristics, before these are put through Gemini. Our prompt produces a paragraph that summaries the predictions. This is then displayed on the webpage.

Challenges we ran into

At first, we analysed the data in python but ran into issues when connecting this to html so instead we learnt some JavaScript so that it could be analysed there.

Originally, when submitted the form, it redirected the user to another page, which we did not want. So, we researched google script to solve this issue and keep the user on the correct webpage.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Having a completed project. We really like the user interface. It took a lot of time to fix some the issues, and we are proud that we figured how to fix these issues.
