What's In a Name

Inspiration

All of the team members are from around the world, and we noted that doing something with language would be fun and fascinating. In addition, one of the members is passionate about psychology, linguistics, philosophy, and gender issues. As this hackathon celebrates people of marginalized genders, we wanted to tackle a challenge that NB/trans people experience: names. From there, we decided.

What it does

Admittedly, nothing yet. The backend has not been connected to the frontend, so the form needs to be modified in order to work.

What's next for What's In a Name

Connecting the form to the backend so the video can actually be processed will be a small step towards gender equality.
