What's going on ? (Public Alert Sytem)

Inspiration

When we were coming home from hackathon, massive train delays and the inability to access updated information that wasn't behind paywalls (like news) or gated behind a login, like X

What it does

Provides accessible information on location based alerts, and enables natural language querying

How we built it

Built a web-app using NextJS, mongoDB and openAI for embeddings

Challenges we ran into

Connecting our frontend with cloud based services alongside AI api's proved to be a trick process

What's next for What's going on ? (Public Alert Sytem)

Fine tuned embeddings, further AI integration alongside website data scraping for pre-emptive alerts.
