Inspiration I wanted to share information on how to stay safe in a way that children would understand. Help children organize all of the information they might be hearing adults talk about, or even the news.
The story and illustrations help children understand how to stay safe in our world today in light of the virus. So that they don't feel helpless.
How I built it, I wrote the story based on the information I received from medical professionals and used an illustrator to draw the pictures to make it fun and interesting for children.
Challenges... I ran into was the time given for the project. When we found out about the project there wasn't a lot of time left to get it completed. We had about one week.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of are getting in completed by the deadline and that the story is relevant, timely and engaging for children of all ages, but definitely the target age of 6-9 years old.
What I learned is that when faced with a challenge, we can work together to get it done.
What's next for What is going on in the world? We go back to a new normal where we can appreciate all the things that are important, family and loved ones.
