Inspiration
Inspired by classic noir and Agatha Christie’s intricate mysteries, What Happened to Evelyn? dives into a city where every shadow hides a secret, and trust can be the deadliest illusion.
What it does
This micro-drama follows a detective racing to uncover the truth behind his wife’s sudden disappearance. Each clue deepens the mystery, revealing a world where appearances deceive and nothing is what it seems.
How we built it
The story was crafted with ChatGPT, storyboards developed using Higgsfield Popcorn, video sequences produced with Grok Imagine, music composed with Suno, and the final cut edited in CapCut.
Challenges we ran into
Condensing suspense, character depth, and a layered mystery into a short format was a challenge, balancing intrigue without giving away the ending.
Accomplishments that we’re proud of
We created a micro-drama that feels cinematic and tense, with each beat leaving viewers questioning who to trust and what’s real.
What we learned
Mystery thrives in suggestion: the right shadows, sounds, and half-seen details can build tension far more than exposition.
