The inspiration came from the really beautiful world of whales, they are a fascinating creature and people should know more about them.

What it does

Our Web-app is an attempt on providing interesting information on Whales across the world and the scientific studies going on such as whale snot analysis using drones. Check out our video demo to learn more.

How I built it

We used HTML, CSS and Javascript to make the frontend of the web-app. The visualisation of the whale's position was done using machine learning. Flask was used to create API and integrate with the web-app.

What's next for WHALES-EYE

We shall expand our dataset to get information on whales at different oceans. This prototype contains data only for the whales in the southern ocean region.
