Swiss SMEs struggle with a long-term, strategic WFH approach
What it does
Our WFH Readiness Assessment Model analyses an organisation’s and the employees ability to implement WFH days in specific departments by considering the current organisational structure, processes and infrastructure. Based on the evaluation of specific criteria through a survey, the model shows, in form of an Excel file, which areas need to be further improved before WFH can be successfully implemented.
How I built it
Prototype with Google Forms and Excel
Challenges I ran into
Technical challenges
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Simple MVP without any coding knowledge
What I learned
Time boxed team work, find solutions no matter what the problem was.
What's next for WFH Readiness Assessment Model
In case the project is going to be further developed, the model needs to be challenged. Professionals would have to analyze the relevance of the model and evaluate the usefulness of such an assessment. An approach to evaluate the potential would be a market analysis and target group testing. If it turns out that there is a market for such an assessment, the assessment model needs to be programmed and automated by designing a software suited to the needs of the target group. Additionally, the concept shown could be expanded. A key component which should be implemented are a set of courses of actions that are being suggested based on the respective results. Another addition could be a function, which shows the cost savings by implementing WFH.
