As Wesleyan students, we were inspired to build an app for our small-knit community during this pandemic. We were inspired by the fact there is a maximum capacity for people being in the building at a certain time. This would also be useful for contact tracing so that the faculty can know who was where. We had many hardships along the way because this was most of our team’s first application, let alone using android studio. We used Google Maps API and firebase and dealt with many issues along the way. However, with the help of Ivyhack’s mentors, we were able to pull it off just in time. This was a great learning experience as this was our team’s first ever hackathon and we would like to thank you for the opportunity to participate in this hackathon.
