Inspiration

Munich public transport has around 500000 regular users and the commuting time within the city is seen as a waste. We want to solve the problem of loneliness in Munich by turning this into an opportunity to connect with people.

What it does

MunichMetroMeet app gives the lonely people who use public transport an opportunity to meet other lonely people in the same transport vehicle. By scanning the code in each vehicle, one can see who is looking for a connection and meet them. This can turn into lasting connections if they click, otherwise, they just got to know a new person instead of mindlessly scrolling.

How we built it

We built a prototype of our new app idea using Figma.

Challenges we ran into

It was our first Figma app so we felt a bit lost while debugging.

We're proud of our really innovative and original idea that targets to connect people of all ages and backgrounds with each other!
