Inspiration
What it does
It provides families with easy and free access to healthcare resources, ranging from health insurance guides to sexual and reproductive health information. It includes features such as maps and current news boxes to keep all users updated and aware of what is around them.
How we built it
We collaborated using Repl.it. We coded in HTML/CSS and Javascript. We also used a Google Maps API to mark locations on a fully interactive map, along with a widget that displays real time COVID-19 case counts.
Challenges we ran into
Front end formatting with HTML, JS animations not working, margins not working.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our animations, parallax, our maps and our collaborative team spirit.
What we learned
We learned that we should not give up after getting an error, because we will eventually figure it out. We also learned that it is better to come up with our minimum viable product rather than trying to perfect everything and running out of time.
What's next for WeMED
We are thinking of adding a professional chatbot for any users that need help, along with a feature that compares COVID testing sites (prices, and wait times).
