Inspiration

Whenever you are sick wouldn't it help to understand why? Our website is made to help you get a timeline for this occasion. Painting a picture of commonalities and generated summaries to help you better understand YOU!

What it does

Wellsync takes user input data such as medical record current and/or past symptoms and user characteristics. Using this information the user is able to access a generalized summary of the illnesses of the past week. The Chatbot feature allows users to ask detailed questions ranging from mundane things all the way to inquiries about their medical history. The overall purpose is to give users the chance to better understand their bodies and locate times where they are most prevalent to falling ill.

How we built it

Using Figma, Visual Studio code, and Streamlit we were able to flesh out our code and properly mold it into a website. The coding language that was generally used was Python as all three members have more experience in that area. For help along the way a generative AI assistant was used to help stimulate ideas and navigate through difficulties as needed.

Challenges we ran into and Accomplishments we are proud of

API had to be one of our greatest challenges. Our website couldn't answer all of the users questions without it, so to try and navigate through this we asked an AI assistant to help us get started with the code. After we did end up making the code work, it unfortunately cost to use it. So to go around this we instead added links in the code for the AI to navigate through. We are very proud of this feat as this is our first time working on an API! This was a very insightful experience for us all.

What we learned

We learned more about web design, structure of the coding for websites, and the process of building a function generative helpful assistant.

What's next for WellSync

WellSync is on a path to improving the health industry. By allowing users to log in symptoms and illnesses, doctors may also be able to use this and easily navigate through the patients history and access information. This will make it easier to go into the doctors office knowing what to talk about or even having time to prevent a potential sickness for the patient. While the doctor can also track the patient's illnesses from afar and contact them as needed.
