🚀 Inspiration
In today’s hyperconnected yet isolating world, wellness isn’t a luxury anymore — it’s survival. But most people juggle scattered apps for meditation, workouts, and diets — none of which truly understand the whole person.
That gap inspired us. We asked ourselves: What if wellness was intelligent, empathetic, and interconnected?
That question gave birth to WellNest.AI — an AI-powered multi-agent wellness platform that doesn’t just track habits, but actually responds to how you feel, in real time.
True wellness isn’t about tracking habits — it’s about responding to how you feel, in the moment. So we built a system that listens.
🤖 What It Does
WellNest.AI combines five expert AI agents into one seamless wellness companion:
- MoodMate – Reads your mood from text and responds with calming conversations, journaling prompts, and mood-aligned Spotify playlists.
- NutriCoach – Suggests personalized meals using the Edamam API, adapting to your dietary goals and emotional state.
- FlexGenie – Recommends fitness routines based on mood and energy levels, with guided YouTube videos.
- MindPal – Offers breathing guides, mindfulness exercises, and daily affirmations to reduce stress and improve focus.
- InsightBot – Monitors patterns in mood, meals, journaling, and activity — helping you track your personal wellness journey with clarity.
🎁 Bonus Highlights:
- AI-powered journaling with intelligent prompts
- Gamified streaks & achievements for habit reinforcement
- Mobile-first PWA with dark/light mode, offline support, and secure login
It’s not just an app. It’s a personalized wellness OS — powered by empathy and AI.
🔧 How We Built It
We designed a modular, AI-native architecture focused on personalization and speed:
- Frontend: React 18 + TypeScript with Vite, styled using Tailwind CSS and animated with Framer Motion.
- Backend: Node.js + Express for secure routing and modular agent orchestration.
- AI Layer:
- Groq API for ultra-fast journaling & dialogue
- HuggingFace models for sentiment/mood detection
- Spotify, Edamam, and YouTube APIs for music, nutrition, and workouts
- Data Layer: Supabase for authentication and journaling history; in-memory fallback for fast prototyping
- Architecture: Independent agent microservices → scalable, resilient, and future-ready
⚔️ Challenges We Faced
- Coordinating five agents in real time while keeping UX simple & human
- Maintaining one unified tone across agents without losing their individuality
- Handling API rate limits + real-time emotional detection
- Building a responsive mobile-first PWA with offline mode in limited hackathon time
🏆 Accomplishments We’re Proud Of
- Delivered a fully functional multi-agent AI wellness ecosystem in a hackathon sprint
- Unified mental health, fitness, nutrition, and journaling under one experience
- Built a production-ready PWA that feels like a supportive friend, not a set of tools
- Showed how AI can be applied in preventive health & societal well-being
