Inspiration

We have friends who have gone through mental health issues as well as ourselves and wanted to make a tangible difference.

What it does

WellnessChecker asks users for input about their mental health, then has them go through positivity activities, then asks them for their happiness again and then quantifies data.

How I built it

I built it slowly throughout the day through trial and error. I used chatGPT for ideation often.

Challenges I ran into

I could not get the pet image to print no matter what I did. I also had a very hard time staying consistent and learning to use HTML.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm very proud of the front end code that I built. I had never built front end code before today and I feel very accomplished at how I did.

What I learned

I learned how to use flask and HTML. I also learned how to work with a group on a program, as I'd never done that before.

What's next for WellnessChecker

In the future, I'd like WellnessChecker to have a correct pet photo function. I'd really like to build off that and make it a fun app with that being the main function. I think user retention would be much higher with the pet to push them to do better.
