Inspiration
Managing finances as a college student is a difficult task, especially with the vast amount of resources available. Our website, QuestCoach aims to tackle this problem by transforming financial literacy into a fun learning experience.
What it does
This website lists and stores financial data such as budgeting, tracks spending habits, and creates projections. It essentially makes saving, budgeting, and investing more engaging through the implementation of an AI coach. This AI coach tries to make the experience more enjoyable for the user by creating quests. As the user completes quests
How we built it
We built this website using javascript, html, css, and explored the front end through figma. We also used groq’s api to create an AI coach.
Challenges we ran into
We struggled with creating the “gamification” portion of our app. We wanted it to be purposeful and appealing to all sorts of users. We also struggled with learning some new coding languages because most of us weren’t familiar with them.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of making a website that can compile. It has the potential to be great, and we have many ideas about how to develop it further.
What we learned
We learned a lot during this hackathon. For example, we learned key communication skills, used time management, and learned to apply technical skills (css, html, figma) to create our visions into reality.
What's next for WeHack 2026
We see so many opportunities to grow. In the future, AI could evolve into a more proactive financial companion, anticipating user needs, adapting goals in real time and providing deeper insights based on long term behavior.
