Inspiration
Inspired by Wegmans mission statement of bringing organic products to households as conveniently as possible.
What it does
Given an html page of a recipe, Wegcipe, with trained model, will match ingredients with Wegmans' API and return the organic products available in Wegman to help users check out as fast as possible to prepare for a wonderful meal!
How we built it
With PHP and Python; Javascript, Bootstrap, HTML5 and CSS3 for front-end.
Challenges we ran into
It is a bit inconvenient to build a database of all the products from Wegmans' API and to train our model to recognize the similar keywords to match with items in the database.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Able to build a functional demo web application integrated with machine learning.
What we learned
Handling back-end, dealing with APIs, training models
What's next for wegcipe
Improve on developing the database, and we hope to have a latest version of Wegmans' API
